I don't understand the change to day/night cycle. I see in the update log it's mentioned as being fixed (the cycle not being updated? No clue what that even means), but I don't understand what the problem was before.

After watching replay carefully, it seems like each day and each night is (approximately) 2 minutes long. Each tick looks (approximately) 20ish seconds long.

It didn't seem right and everyone mentioned it ingame, but after checking online it looks like the "traditional" cycle should be much longer--I see 7.5/15 mins mentioned for an older DotA version (circa 2010). I'm not sure if that's how LoD always was but it seems about right to me. At any rate, 2 minute day, 2 minute night, complete cycle of under 5 minutes seems way too fast.

I also just watched some kind of invincibility bug. I'm not sure what skills the guy had, but i have the replay if you want to check it out (let me know via PM if so, or if you're already aware--I'm hesitant to post it here and proliferate). I ended up getting D/C (which looked like ragequit) so I only saw this in replay chat log when I went to check what happened with the game afterwards; I just watched the replay to see it in action after I was gone and yeah it looks silly--completely immune to damage for whatever duration (no clue how he's triggering it or what triggers it but it was not 100% of the time).

edit: Ok, after watching even more of it, I see the guy didn't even know how he was doing it; at one point he goes "lol why cant they hurt me". Also after watching more and paying closer attention, it appears as if it's only hero attacks which seemed unable to hurt him; towers and creeps were damaging normally. I can't tell for sure if possibly the regen was just insanely high vs. hero attacks, to where the regen made it look as if attacks weren't hurting him, or they just weren't period. Shrug.

Thanks a lot for your consideration, and for all your hard work. Cheers!

Hrm, well I can't seem to edit the subject line to fix the typo (should be v3g obviously). But at first I couldn't even find the edit button at all so I made another post. Then I found it and changed the other post. Sorry... ><

It was pointed out to me that the day/night cycle is probably due to DotA2 update containing the same.

Is this the case? If so, aren't the implications of such a drastic change a bit more severe in LoD vs. DotA2?

Was this a bug at all or was this intended? I'm just curious if this change is "here to stay".

Thanks again for all your hard work and attention.

Lol okay. I was just wondering if I was reporting a "bug" that wasn't even a bug  :D

Thanks again!
