These days it seems like you need to farm a linkens or a silver edge or an mkb, to give a few examples, every game.  I suggest making a lesser form a pickable skill.

 

New skills or augments of old skills:

Gravekeepers Cloak: (add to existing) The first layer (untouched) will have a 100% spell block for any non-ultimate spell.  The cd will be 60/50/40/30.  Scepter Upgradable: can block ultimate spells (as long as the first layer is still intact).

Trueshot Aura (aka Precision Aura): remove the active component and replace it with true shot precision.  Add to existing skill: 10/15/20/25% more likely to hit the target.  A level 4 true shot aura will subtract 25% from the evasion of the target.  Blur for example will be cut to 25%.

 

Shadow Walk (BH's ww):  remove the damage bonuses (30/60/90/120).  Add:  disable their passive abilities, and reduce their damage output by 20/30/40/50% for 5 seconds.


Interested in hearing the community's response to these proposals.

3rd one needs to be discussed.

I strongly support the Keeper Cloak suggestion.

 

I have no concerns regarding the other two proposals, do as you please.

shadow walk should be a paralyze skill if enemy got backstabbed

It's not a free silver edge.  Silver Edge gives 225 backstab damage and 50% damage reduction when you build it.  It also gives you tons of bonus stats like attack speed and strength.  There will be no bonus damage and 50% damage reduction only at level 4.  Level 1 is 20% damage reduction.  If you still think that's too op drop the duration to 3.5/4/4.5/5 secs.

well the points are:

 

1. the timing you get the "break" (i.e. passive disability) is minute 1 into game, this change is forcing all tanks to get ghost as first item

2. continuous break - if you invis for 15 sec, hit, and ww and hit again in 5 sec, you are basically making a tank/ carry useless for 10 seconds

 

Then you, Jiminy, will be the one who posts thread to nerf it

You break their passives for seconds.  During this time they can still blink and ww away and stun and whatever.  You act as if passive disable for seconds is like one hit and ur dead.  Lol.  The ww takes mana.  You can only use it a few times early on and youre already out of mana.  Implementations need nerfed sometimes.  It's been that way since the beginning of wc3.  If it needs nerfed it gets nerfed the next patch.  It's one skill and quite frankly the suggestion isnt out of this world op.

I can imagine jiminy raging after a month after his buff backfires on him. invi + silver edge = more time with no passives. + stun lock = paper = jiminy gonna blame his team for being trash = I'm gonna laugh and they will lose

lmao anyways, why not make trueshot aura's damage base on hero's range like what it normally does

Cut him slack, he's shapened up and provides a valid suggestion for content to the game.

 - Instead of mostly posting whining threads, this is a new concept.

 

You should embraced the idea if its worth implementing rather than flaming him.

 

Regarding Hunters Windwalk, i'm fine either way. Keep the bonus damage if you change it.

 

Trueshot's effect is superflous.

 - If need be to deal with an evasive heavy metawave (or trend of the week), theres MKB with 100%.

 

I suggest Trueshot proposal is modified rather than giving a small bonus which is disregardable as people will pick it for pure simple firepower.
- And doesn't need to be changed in the first place.

Only problem with mkb is it's expensive and it's a glass cannon weapon.  You spend that much gold and it doesnt make you tanky at all.  Plus when youre already needing to farm a linkens and a silver edge, farming a mkb is a pain in the ass.  If you can have one guy on the team with the trueshot you can counter the evasion at least a little bit.

Now if we can just get Resq and or Draco to code a bit.  Really hope one or both get some time to update.

We really need these skills!  Every game the winners the the ones with strong skills like BT because it takes forever to make silver edge.  Doom and stuns win because linkens takes farm.  And evasion (blur and windrunner especially) is op because mkb takes farm.  Perma stun aftershockers win and pulse nova wins cause BKB takes forever to farm.  This is why you see the skills picked over and over.  By the time you farm the enemies counter item they are so far ahead.  And if a team is smart they will spread the nasty op skills among them so you have to farm one of each!!

In that case, buffing 25% on Trueshot vs Evasion and uphill shooting wont solve your case.

 

I suggest a more radical change if any to Trueshot Aura.

 

For example: Aghanims - Requiem: Gains sub ability: Blink (After casting this blink, Requiem is autocasted by queue if not on CD).

 

Buffing numbers alone ain't fun, giving stuff mechanics is.

U know this could have a positive effect on the player base. Do you really think that this change could be made and there wont be at least a couple noobs each round or even vets who came back because their turns were full. One of the most asked questions by noobs is "how do I get more turns?" isnt it.
