Hi guys,

today I would like to introduce a concept we've been working on: Hero Classes.

Basically all heroes will be sorted into 7-8 Hero Classes, subordinated into Range and Melee for some classes. Heroes of the same class and same subordination (melee/range) will have the same

Attackspeed, Movementspeed, Cast Point, Base damage, Base Stats Strength Agility & Intelligence, HP & MPreg, Armor, BAT & Attack Point.

The idea behind this is to allow for more diversity in hero models. We have noticed that some models are severely underpicked and very unpopular, such as but not limited to CM, Lina or Undying. Leaving all DotA-nostalgia behind, we think this is a good improvement to the map's balance.

After you have read through this and understood the idea behind it, please let us know about this change by leaving your vote in the poll above! :)

Following are the Hero Classes, which are still a work in progress and not set in stone, if you have any suggestions regarding some points, please leave it below as a reply.

Notes: The stuff in brackets are just some definitions to help understand the concept. Attack points are currently missing.

I agree, skilled players would pick Death Prophet in the worst case scenario.

I approve. I think it's good for LoD to have something implemented completely different from the actual DotA

Offtopic note, which concerns me.

Add a new policy against people using blank names ingame. Im not gonna waste time arguing for it. If you got the wits, you will see the problem and why a policy against it is needed.

Ontopic note, sure. Why the fuck not. Steamline it, make models a simple thing as visuals.

Personally, I hate adjusting to a new system. But objectively, it will do no harm implementing it. Unless coding fucks up.

All in all, doesnt matter what I say, you will do w/e either way.

k, hf with your project. And thank muff for urging me to drop a read and reply.

GG humanity, as always.
