fix witchcraft pls, the the skill mcs (ex. times 4) skill gets 4 chances to trigger it which makes it very annoying when an enemy is winning by sheer luck

u meant when witchcraft mc 4X, you cast the same skill 5 times with no cd?

there's supposed to be a way to lockdown some unit, due to the nature of stuns. that's why they do exists - proper usage can give big advantage in short-term. issue of lod - anyone can obtain up to 2-3 stuns at the same time, and balance shattering.

 

cutting off diminishing %% will cause stuns to lose their lockdown ability, even from different people. if you managed to pick 4 stuns, 1 by every teammate and 1 full-tank-no-stun, your 2 teammates will, in fact, have no stun

 

Honestly Draco, if you cant finnish off your target after 2 stuns (assuming my new DR proposal is in effect): Say a Chronosphere and a Storm Bolt.

You're doing something wrong.

 

Stuns are very efficency oriented aspect of the game -> Giving too much makes it too easy in my simple opinion.

 

I've personaly learned to tolerate being stunlocked and stuns being part of the game (certainly after 1dpp + DR, it's not even that bad anymore).

 - But since this topic is up, I wanna push the limits.

Stuns exist because they were a ladder mechanic and didn't last as long on hero units compared to the damage you can dish out in dota. Mountain King's Storm Bolt lasted 3 seconds and a maxed out lvl 10 Mountain King with Avatar had less than 100 damage. Stuns are a shit mechanic.

Origin is hardly relevant when the project (both dota and lod) has trancended beyond original designs for all tends and purposes.
- Specially when complexity has advanced as well behind new abilities.

 

I do agree however that stun is a fallacy to any game at any point.

 

"let's remove playable content by giving players time windows to completly ignore harm and tactics from your opponent so you can do w/e you want unhindered."

 

More stuns, more win. Less resistance to deal with.

Another stun that needs its duration reduced is aftershock.  1.5 secs is insane in 6 skill.  You can godlike and make everyone quit because no one has time to build bkb.  You simply level up to 6-8 then run around and stun from full health to death.  1.5 secs plus 125 damage is crazy in 6 skill with the right combo.  Might i suggest snowball, aftershock, quill spray, slard ult, anchorsmash, bt.  Theres quite a few combos that will leave you paralyzed from full health to death.

Draco is correct in saying stuns are ruining game play.  They need reduced so there is more back and forth and less stun stun stun stun dead.

I suggest lowering aftershocks stun duration to 0.6/0.8/1.0/1.2  Compensate by increasing damage 5/10/15/20.

This is a abused in skill in the wackjob modes department and is easily solved by permastunning him instead.
