It makes sense to have each pulse from pulse nova trigger static field and be purged from unstable current.  If pulse nova is able to heal from octarine core then it can be affected my anti magic passives.  250 damage per second is op, especially when you consider it slows you and you can couple it with BT or reincarnate.  Either allow anti magic passives to counter it or dont let it heal from octarine.  Octarine/scepter +bt or rein is gg because it's so ungodly op.  If static field is too op by countering it, just make it only trigger if the pulse hits the hero.

False. Your logics are flawed.

 

Octarine doesnt check for damage type. It heals by any instances (if I recall, it goes by damage dealt with skills, items and your attacks) irregardless of source or type.

 

Static Field goes by each instance of an activated ability (including hostiles since aura was implemented).
- Every spell has a sweet spot of: Winding up -> Cast -> Cast backswing.

 

Once a spell hits the Cast point -> It's effects are activated, including external things like fiery soul, wand, static field responds to that event.

On/off spells disregards this rule by having a state with continued effect.

 

Unstable Current acts soley based event: "Is targeted by a single target unit ability".
- Same rules as Linkens activation rules on a diffrent coding spectrum.

 

OP as his drafted hero was compared to your kit.

 

You're simply butthurt that your kit didnt live up to your expectations.

 

If this build continues to be a problem for you, I suggest you go with Nether Ward and Blade Mail to punish a steam machine.
- And a Illusion carry with mana break / diffusal to drain his battery or Mana Leak combined with Force Staff.

pulse nova is so fucking op.  nerf something about it or give a counter.  Im frustrated with it.  It's so god damn ez to own with in 6 skill.  You combine it with some sort of tp, land right on the enemy and theyre fucked cause of the slow and the dps and the fact you have tanky passives like kraken and dispersion and blood bath.  I pick pulse nova and get like 30 kills a game with it because no one stops you.  You have to farm BKB and blade mail to beat it.  Doom doesnt stop it.  The pulses keep coming.

 

I suggest lowering the slow ability by 5% and the over all damage by 5%.  I have no other solutions to it and when I play with it the other players dont have a solution either.

Youre still slowed so they just run up to you or blink after you.  It's so strong.  Very very difficult to go toe to toe with pulse nova unless youre facing a complete noob.

It has actually gotten more balanced than it used to be.  Just need a couple more tweaks and it's a fair game.

Pulse nova is fine, medium damage, short range, decent mana consumption. Maybe a bit too good on tanks. Maybe up the damage and the mana drain, so you have to buy some more mana/use it on non-tank heroes?

Disregard this thread, it's a whining thread.

 

Pulse is consecutive damage over time in a closed area.
- Slows hostiles in vicinity if boosted.

 

Has a million counters towards its simple criteria, standing close to you for a time until you die of it.

I'm unstoppable with pulse nova.  It's way ez to own with and I noticed when playing against it farming BKB is a pain in the ass when youre already in the middle of farming a scepter. 

I think we should lower BKB recipe cost.  make it an even 1k.  So much stun/pulse nova in lod.  Gotta have more counters.  BKB already has a long cd on it.  Why make blade mail ez to build and with a  low cd but bkb is so damn hard to farm.  In Lod Linkens and BKB are needed often.  I suggest lowering linkens recipe as well to an even 1k.  Alternative suggestion would be having two levels of linkens.  buy recipe for 600-700 gold.  The cd timer is 20-30 secs higher than the lvl 2 linkens.

Yea, that affects other game modes too in a reckless manner.

 

I had no problem kiting a pulse nova user with Frost Arrows + Frost Mourne + Incapacitating Bite.

 

In this case, he was the one who couldnt run away from/with Pulse Nova.

 

People laughed at my silly build and calling it crap, I ended up laughing at people who couldn't escape.

 

I will say this again as others have cricket. It's a wackjob mode that aint balanced (and isn't supposed to).

 

If you suspect broken comboes of the week to be picked, draft accordingly.
- And foremost stop posting a stomping build on the forum.

 

Enjoy the silly mode or leave it alone.
