riptide on haunt supernova combo

can we do something about this? this combo is too op on early game. lvl 8 guaranteed to kill 1,2 or more people every time. and game ends up getting owned by one person bec he's too fat already before we can even counter

How about getting a blink, any stealth skill in the game or survivability skills.

 

This is classic Pub-meta stomping tactics. Give it time to adapt to the playerbase.

 - Im surprised it took this long for people to abuse Rip Tide with Haunt, goes well with Hunter.ITN.

 

If this meta doesnt pass over by something else and games are kept stomped by Ripping Haunts, bump this post.

1. I have an escape skill, but how about my other team mates?

2. sometime there's no escape on draft

3. being mid and getting a few kills before lvl 8 with that combo has a huge advantage against other lane due to levels and a little of stats if riptide can take like 40% of hp aleady how about when if got refreshed with supernova?

This is active meta now. They need to adapt or get reckt.

 

If this persists and this meta stagnates in a negative way, actions are needed.

 

For now, let the wind blow and see where it goes.

 

I suggest you take a time out from that channel if it bothers you, play something else or somewhere else and return on a later point.

It doesn't bother me cuz I rarely see that combo but it's stronger than an unlucky guy with mc wrath. would be nice if the rip tide from illus is a different type of dmg or lesser dmg

I agree, Riptide serves as a free Thundergods Wrath in early game, plus reducing armor when you get beefed up later on.

 

But I have a problem with Riptide being useless if you do.

 

It happens to have a strong synergy with Haunt by being casted from all illusions.

 

A quick fix to this solution is removing Riptide from illusions (which I think is a fun mechanic) thus fixing the haunt stomping.
- And other viable synergies as Phantom Lance and Replicate.

 

If it is removed - I want to see it buffed in for its sacrifice.
- 300 damage at level 4 + 10 armor reduction.

hmm mc phantom lance desolate haunt would be nice. I never saw haunt being mced in game

I think it doesn't need a buff for damage, just make it pure dmg and we are all good

How is this a problem? Mc wrath is 100x more deadly, this combo takes like 12 seconds for 880 damage lategame + the illusions you can just blink/ghost/euls/etc away from. And 440 damage in 7 seconds earlygame, soooo brutal.....

As I said, this combo is stronger than an Unlucky guy with mc wrath. what that means is his wrath only does x2

well if you have rearm phantasm, I guess people will still pick this. or helix call

Well it depends on "ppl"... I only pick it with haunt lol.

 

It's not worth a skills slot with helix call - I'd rather get tankier

To me it's only op if the rest of the team went globals.  Desolate seems pussy as hell these days.  This combo maybe strong but so are a lot of over combos.  This doesnt need nerfed imo.

 

edit:  if anything needs nerfed a tad its maginas mana burn.  I suggest -5 mana/dam each level.

Surprising it comes from Jimi.

 

There is one combo that I find inconsistent with previous bans on dance + invis combos:

 

broodmother's web + dance

 

You may want to disable this combination as well

Ya if anything there could be a "share the sky" rule where each additional zues ult causes  wraths (all) to be 10% less damage and each additional haunt (all) causes 10% less damage.  Otherwise both skills by themselves are fine.  But damn a team full of globals is quite op, at least in 6 skill mode.
