I watched an lod replay where the climate was more arid. Increased sand and browning of the trees. It looked pretty sweat. Might be fun to try this out.

I think this was not climate, but Russian Dota Promode, which replaces or removed most of not obligatory textures.

You can do this yourself in your local wc3 (text & visuals can be changed without desync/not same map/wc3 patch anymore)
